Less is More - In The Frame

I'm cutting it a bit fine this week for a Less is More submission, but wanted to wait until after Tuesday to post in case my friend Pauline took a sneeky peek at my blog and spied her own birthday card!! Then I had a virusfest of infections and went into computer crisis - but all sorted so here it is!  This weeks challenge is 'In The Frame'

To make my frame I cut the shape using Nestabilities Large Label die on a random piece of scrap card, then using a technique I last used for my Art O'Level (remember them?) I edged the cut frame with two shades of blue chalk pastels.  This was then placed on my card and using cotton wool swirled the colour onto the card to make the frame.
The wording is from one of my favourite stamps by Inkadinkadoo and the little flower from PSX.

Thanks for stopping by. Jo x

  2. And it's lovely in real life too! The chalk shading really gives it a wonderful dimension, it doesn't look like a one layer card from my sofa! Thank you xx

  3. Super take on the challenge, Jo. I love how you did the shading on your nestability sentiment, and the sentiment itself is lovely x
